January Blooms at ABG

Narcissus species and hybrids usually begin to flower in late February and early March in the Piedmont region of Georgia. However, with this winter’s low number of freezing nights and sustained warm daytime temperatures, Daffodils have already begun to emerge at the Atlanta Botanical Garden. The photo above, taken on January 8, 2020, shows Narcissus ‘February Gold’ blooming in front of ABG’s Longleaf Restaurant.  Guests can expect to see Crocus, Hyacinth, Muscari, Anemones, and Tulips join the scene in upcoming weeks.
